Greetings to all!
Today’s post continues to look at the many lessons I learned while attending the Book-to-Course Summit. And while not all the suggestions I present in this series come directly from the virtual training, the principles nonetheless are what’s important.
As I alluded in the previous posts, I am conducting a free e-Course for those who are truly interested in learning how to generate wealth as a writer. I highly encourage you to enroll by June 18, 2016 (session begins June 20) as this will be a virtual experience that you won’t want to miss. All the information (and much more) that you read in these articles will be presented; in addition, I will provide actionable steps that will get you going in terms of moving you in the right direction. So, I hope to see you there.
Getting back to the topic of this post, one of the experts in the summit, Jeff Goins, delivered a presentation about establishing a platform for yourself. (Platforms are the style in which you broadcast your brand and your work, choosing the appropriate medium to convey all that you offer.) While many writerpreneurs are aware of the need for having a platform, Goins conveyed some interesting points that I want to share with you here. As he mentioned, in order to perform well as a writerpreneur, you have to be willing to play by the rules of the game. This is a hustle; and certain principles are in operation that, if followed and respected, anyone can use to succeed.
To begin, he outlined five types of platforms that one should consider; and I will summarize two of the five for you here. (The others will be addressed in the e-Course.)
As I mentioned in the beginning of this article, there are three more types of platforms that you can develop. When you enroll in my e-Course, I will give you pertinent lessons about how to choose the right platform for you, and how you can effectively use a certain medium to project that brand. More importantly, I will give you some insight into how your books will be a marketing tool to help promote your brand further as a writerpreneur.
And as always, let’s grow together!
"The hardworking farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crop" (2 Timothy 2:6).
Other exciting lessons available June 11, 2016! Be sure to download my latest e-Book, and enroll in the upcoming course, "Empowered Writerpreneurs: Begin Your Journey Towards Success."
