Greetings, Dear Writerpreneur!
I have what I believe another empowering post that will answer many of your questions regarding blogging and what it takes to make it successful. When I first started the LiyahAmore Publishing Blog, my aim was to simply see if I could earn an income from it. Turns out, I could, and have used this platform as a primary method for generating income. Now that I know it’s possible, I decided that it’s time for me to explore just how far I can go in terms of getting my blog posts to the right audience and at its maximum level.
Now, before I jump into this topic, I want to share these pointers with you. First, I design my articles to give you a behind-the-scenes look at my strategies for building a profitable online business. Whenever I try something new, I write about it because I want to show you that even with a little, you can accomplish a great deal.
And if you know that what you’re doing is working for you and the little that you have, then you understand that it will also work with the multitude. I’ve simply reached this point in my blogging journey to where I am ready to invite the masses to my website and blog. And I want to show you how I am accomplishing this, and how these principles can help you, too, especially as a Christian Author.
Having said that, I want to highlight that there is nothing wrong with wanting to have more. There is nothing wrong with wanting to see your writing go beyond your small space. And for the most part, this post is more appropriate for writers who do want to take their blogging work to another level.
In order for that to come to pass, however, you have to be willing to do what others have done. You must challenge yourself to go beyond your own limitations so that you can see exponential growth. And that’s what I will share in this article. I want to give you several steps that you can take in order to create a highly-engaging post that people—your audience—wants to share with others.
Steps to Create This Great Blog Post
As a Christian Author, you may find it challenging to compose an article that will eventually go viral. And I don’t want you to make this more complicated that it really is. To create this type of article, you only need two simple steps:
Now, while this may seem simple, the steps are actually more complex and dense. In other words, you must know what “phenomenal content” looks like, and then you must develop a strategic plan that will help you share it with the right audience so that your posts go viral.
This can be exceptionally challenging if you don't know what you're doing.
In case you’re wondering whether or not I’ve had a post go viral, the answer is yes. I wrote a blog post about how to find the right editor for your manuscript, and then I shared it with nearly 100 people that I knew on Facebook. From there, they commented and shared it with their audience. And that article actually helped me gain a $1600 client. That’s pretty much how this thing works. But sharing it over and over again was so time-consuming, and was not nearly as fun as I thought it would be. The idea of doing something like that for every blog post tires me, and so I’ve decided to take another approach, which I believe will save me time and will help me get the results I’m after.
Before I dive into my strategy, let me give you a list of some of the suggestions that I found through my research in terms of helping your blog posts go viral:
These are all great, but they are so common that everyone is doing it. So, in terms of making your post viral-worthy, you’re actually not doing anything that's so different than others.
I know this because I did the same thing. I can’t begin to tell you how many times I have repeated the same steps with every post. And I hated it because I felt like I wasn’t really focused on the value of my content as much as trying to get the most shares. Now, my articles have always been well-received by an audience (notice I didn’t write “my audience”), and I believe that was one major problem. I was too focused on trying to get everyone to like and share my content that I became frustrated when only one or two persons engaged with it. This is why I stress to my EWP students and to my readers like you that having your own audience is what will work. In other words, you have to talk to the right people. And when you present a solution to them, or when you create content that changes their life in some way, then without hesitation, they will engage and share it with someone who is also just like them.
In truth, you need to be writing for one person, who will then help you make your content viral by sharing it with another person who can also appreciate and share the value you provide.
And that’s the strategy that I’ve chosen to take with my blog. I decided that trying to make all my articles viral posts was a complete waste of my time. In fact, I would never make any money that way because my focus would be skewed. But if I changed my strategy and concentrated on making a handful of articles go viral, then I strongly believe that this will bring about the results I’m after. And that’s what I will be doing over the next 6-12 months: developing an effective, customized, blog-sharing strategy for LiyahAmore Publishing. After conducting the research, I found that this is the most effective and time-efficient method.
Developing My Viral-Worthy Blog Post Strategy
Now that I know I need a strategy for sharing my blog posts, there are certain factors that I must consider. You can apply these same points to your own authorship.
As a Christian Author, it can be challenging to go through a blogging strategy like this on your own, especially when you don’t know where to start. And I hope that this article brought forth some clarity in terms of the amount of work that you must do to see your vision realized. But even this article is not enough.
