Greetings, Christian Author!
Welcome to another Empowering Post, where I share powerful tips that will help you launch the writing ministry of your dreams.
I'm Felecia Killings, and I've been working with new and aspiring Christian Authors since 2011.
I've helped each one of my clients and students build powerful books that have ministered to people around the world. And I'm eager to help you, too.
For today's teaching, I want to continue in my blog series of "Productivity Tips for Christian Authors."
Quite often, when you are just entering the publishing field, it can seem overwhelming, especially with all that goes into building your own writing ministry.
And while some new writers will find that completing a bunch of random tasks each day is somehow "productive," what I aim to challenge you with is a better way of ensuring that everything you do prospers.
In this Empowering Post, I want to discuss with you the #1 cause of failure as a new Christian Author, particularly as it relates to productivity.
You may recall from my previous lesson that productivity requires that you use your creativity to develop ways that will help you generate results within your writing ministry.
Simply completing 10-15 tasks a day does not make you productive.
That's just makes you busy.
Instead, learning to use your time wisely on the matters that will actually lead you to your goals...now, that's being productive.
But often times, even when we are using our time wisely, there's still that tendency to get off course.
And when this takes place, we are no longer maintaining productivity. And that's what I want to address with today's Empowering Post.
So, grab your notepad and pen, and let's spend some time discussing this matter of "The #1 reasons why Christian Authors fail to be productive in their writing ministry."
#1 Cause of Failure: Lack of a Well-Defined Plan
When readers are first introduced to my writing ministry, a couple of things happen:
Now, when I say that they "hate" everything that I discuss, it's not that they don't appreciate the content and the lessons.
It's the fact that they feel so overwhelmed by all that goes into building a solid writing ministry.
And that "hate" repels them from receiving more of what I have to offer.
For the readers who love my content, they are grateful that they have finally found everything they need to know when it comes to Christian writerpreneurship.
They love that I give them a clear roadmap for success, regardless of the size of their current following.
They love that I inspire them to walk in their calling, using practical lessons that have been proven and tested over time.
More importantly, they love that God has finally connected them with someone who "just gets them."
And you might be feeling the same way, Writerpreneur.
Now, given all that I have already shared with you and my other readers about what it takes to thrive in this industry, you should understand how important it is for you to do everything in your power to succeed.
And as I've mentioned earlier, one of the best ways to see your writing ministry flourish is by learning to be more productive with your time and resources.
The only way to destroy that productivity is by failing to create a well-defined plan of action.
I recently wrote an article on this topic. In that post, I shared with you how important it was for you to "count the cost" that it would require to build your work.
In other words, it's so important that you have a solid plan of action so that you are not left wondering where you are headed.
But I want to take it a step further and say that having a well-defined plan means knowing what your calling is and walking in it on a daily basis.
Your Calling Will Make Way for Your Plans
Whenever I feel like my time is not being used productively, I reflect on the call, the mission, and the assignment that God has given to me concerning you.
I remember my purpose.
And it's during this time of reflection that I turn to all the training materials and resources that I have received to help me fulfill that mission consistently.
There's something truly powerful in that.
When you are constantly reminded of your purpose, and you set clear goals on how to achieve great results, you make yourself ready to receive the plans that will take you to the next level.
Napoleon Hill describes it best: "...Definiteness of Purpose is the beginning of all achievement" (from The Master Key to Riches).
Even when you experience temporary defeat, because you have your purpose and mission in mind, you will eventually overcome your obstacles because you can develop new plans.
And to the one who overcomes, more will be granted.
More power to achieve one's goals.
When the plans for what you desire come to you, it will be your sense of diligence and perseverance that will ensure you make productive strides.
This is a guarantee!
And this is also why it's important for you to never quit on your dreams of building your writing ministry.
Again, this stands at the heart of what it means to be productive as a new Christian Author.
Here's How to Fix the Problem
Maybe you struggle in this area of planning.
And if you do, you're not alone.
There are millions of people who have great ideas, but they fail to create solid plans of actions that will generate results.
And if this is you, then it's important that you track down the kind of help and support that you need to thrive.
It is absolutely impossible for you to maintain productivity without the assistance of other experts.
If you want to learn how to create definite plans of actions that will help you become more productive, then consider working with a writing coach specialist.
I share more about this topic here.
There are many coaches out there that assist Christian Authors with their work.
And I've connected with a couple of them over the years. In fact, two of them are fellow Master Class instructors within my school.
But if you want to work with someone who can help you craft your book while also building your writing ministry, then consider LiyahAmore Publishing.
As your writing ministry coach and mentor, I will help you identify your purpose, prepare your plans, and execute your ideas so that your vision comes to life.
I've shared my knowledge and training with hundreds of writers, and for the ones that took the time to invest financially in their training, they are experiencing results that they never expected.
As a new Christian Author, the best way to solve your problems is found in receiving the right training for your particular ministry.
So, consider working with me this year.
Well, Writerpreneur, that's all that I have for you today. I pray that this brief teaching inspired you to know your purpose and to make way for your definite plans of actions.
